The 14th edition of the "Manuel António da Mota Award", @motaengil, has the motto "Portugal for the Future".

CoLABOR researchers will be speakers at national and international events on the impacts of the digitalization of the world of work.

During the month of October, CoLABOR researchers participated as speakers in various national events.

This text was conceived and developed for the International Day for the Eradication of Poverty (2023), with the aim of framing the phenomenon of poverty in Portugal from different dimensions of analysis.

CoLABOR has thus strengthened its network of associates who, with different contributions, cooperate to achieve CoLABOR's research agenda.

CoLABOR has just published the study "Impact of COVID-19 on nursing homes". This study aimed to assess the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on residential facilities for the elderly (ERPI), based on an analysis of sociodemographic, territorial and organizational factors.

Policies in Analysis No. 10 "The ban on outsourcing services in the 2023 labor reform" is part of a series of legal analysis texts that COLABOR has been producing as part of the Decent Work Agenda, with a view to contributing to the discussion and debate on public policies in the labor area.

The report "The State of the Nation and Public Policies 2023", an initiative of IPPS-Iscte and released today, focuses on a reflection on structural reforms in different areas of governance, namely Employment, Justice, Housing, Social Security, Social Protection, Immigration, Health, Education, Science and Higher Education.

CoLABOR contributed to this initiative by developing and updating the "State of the Nation in Figures" information platform.

CoLABOR is associated with the Population Sciences PhD program and is one of the host institutions under the support model recently created by the Foundation for Science and Technology for applications in a non-academic environment.

The Commission for Equality in Labour and Employment (CITE) has teamed up with "CoLABOR - Laboratory for Labour, Employment and Social Protection" as part of a study on the effects of ways of organizing working time, with a particular focus on shift work and night work and their effects on workers and employers.

This study, requested by the Government of Portugal, was led and coordinated by David Mosler (EUROPE) and carried out by a multidisciplinary research team made up of experts from the ILO Regional Office for Europe and Central Asia (EUROPE), the ILO Employment Policy Department (EMPLOYMENT) and CoLABOR researchers.

CoLABOR promotes reflection and debate around the Decent Work Agenda, one of the most important political moments of this decade for the world of work.

A group of researchers from CoLABOR took part in the public consultation of the preliminary version of the national strategy to combat poverty, which ended last Monday. This group produced and submitted a document on the ConsultaLEX portal with a set of suggestions, which is intended to be a constructive contribution to improving the strategy.

CoLABOR developed the "State of the Nation in Figures" data platform for the Institute for Public and Social Policy (IPPS), in partnership with the latter, which complements the report that the institute publishes every year and which presents a detailed analysis of the national situation in different dimensions.
