Presentation and Discussion of the Report "Employment in Portugal: Public Policies and Business Strategies"

On May 26, at 2:30 p.m., in Porto, at the Manuel António da Mota Foundation Auditorium, there will be a presentation of the report *Employment in Portugal: Public Policies and Business Strategies*, followed by a discussion with experts.

The session brings together a panel of experts to discuss the main challenges facing the labor market in Portugal. Based on the conclusions and recommendations regarding public policy and business strategies presented in the report—the result of a partnership between CoLABOR and its members, SONAE, MOTA-ENGIL, DST GROUP, and CONFMINHO — topics such as the difficulties in expanding the workforce, employment mismatches, challenges in hiring and retaining workers, the evolution of the relationship between productivity and wages, as well as the integration of the immigrant population into the labor market will be addressed.

Against a backdrop of growing social and economic challenges, this initiative aims to foster informed discussion and help identify solutions that have a positive impact on the economic and social fabric, with a view to mitigating imbalances between labor supply and demand.

This initiative is part of the mission of the Collaborative Laboratories (CoLAB), which aims to foster collaboration between the scientific community, the business sector, and the public sector, with a view to developing solutions designed to address economic and social challenges.
