CoLABOR Presents Findings from the Evaluation of the 25th Anniversary of the Escolhas Program
CoLABOR, as part of the evaluation initiatives of the Thematic Program on Demography, Skills, and Inclusion—People 2030, which is part of the Portugal 2030, was the entity responsible for evaluating the Choices Program.
The results of this evaluation will be presented publicly on September 24, between 9:45 a.m. and 1:00 p.m., in the Auditorium of the Lisbon Youth Center in Moscavide. The session will provide an opportunity to learn about the main findings of the 25-year evaluation of the Escolhas Program and to reflect on its impacts and contributions to the social inclusion of children and youth in contexts of greater vulnerability.
Admission is free, subject to prior registration.
The Escolhas Program, created in 2001, is a nationwide government public policy that has been part of the IPDJ—the Portuguese Institute of Sports and Youth, I.P.—since 2023.
About the event:
Following the opening session, Sónia Costa, a researcher at CoLABOR and the evaluation coordinator, will present the main findings of the work carried out. This will be followed by a discussion, moderated by Paula Cardoso, founder of the Afrolink network, which will bring together various key figures from the program—including participants, team members, and representatives from consortium partner organizations—to reflect on the journey, results, and impact of the Escolhas Program.
The session will also feature a presentation by Teresa Martins of the Aga Khan Foundation as a guest speaker, followed by the closing session.
