Presentation and Discussion of the Report "Employment in Portugal: Public Policies and Business Strategies"

On May 26, at 2:30 p.m., in Porto, at the Manuel António da Mota Foundation Auditorium, there will be a presentation of the report *Employment in Portugal: Public Policies and Business Strategies*, followed by a discussion with experts.

Based on the conclusions and recommendations regarding public policy and business strategies presented in the report—the result of a partnership between CoLABOR and its members, SONAE, MOTA-ENGIL, DST GROUP, and CONFMINHO — topics such as the challenges of workforce growth, employment mismatches, challenges in hiring and retaining workers, the evolution of the relationship between productivity and wages, as well as the integration of the immigrant population into the labor market will be addressed.

The session will open with remarks by Rui Pedroto, President of the Manuel António da Mota Foundation, and Manuel Carvalho da Silva, Director of CoLABOR.

Paulo Pedroso will moderate the session, followed by a discussion with Catarina Carvalho, João Cerejeira, Inês Cardoso, and Pedro Brinca. Rute Guerra and Adriano Moreira will conclude the event. Watch the full program here.

Against a backdrop of growing social and economic challenges, this initiative aims to foster informed discussion and help identify solutions that have a positive impact on the economic and social fabric, with a view to mitigating imbalances between labor supply and demand.

This initiative is part of the mission of the Collaborative Laboratories (CoLAB), which aims to foster collaboration between the scientific community, the business sector, and the public sector, with a view to developing solutions designed to address economic and social challenges.
