CoLABOR's 8th Anniversary
CoLABOR celebrated its 8th anniversary with a guided tour titled “Alhandra Operária,” led by historian Gil Gonçalves.
It was a morning of discovery and learning, inviting us to revisit the history of Alhandra and to understand the economic, social, industrial, and political dynamics that, beginning in the 19th century, transformed this town into the industrial heart of the municipality of Vila Franca de Xira—a region marked as much by industrial development as by workers’ organizing and resistance to the Estado Novo.
