CoLABOR participated in the public session to launch the debate on Research and Innovation priorities in Portugal 

On February 24, 2026, at the Técnico Innovation Center in Lisbon, CoLABOR attended the public presentation of the methodology that will be adopted to define national priorities for Research and Innovation.

This debate is part of the process of creating the Agency for Research and Innovation (AI2), and aims to establish a robust strategic framework to guide investment in science, technology, and innovation in the coming years, namely: 

  • identify strategic options;

  • analyze opportunities and risks;

  • support the preparation of the AI² multi-year program contract. 

The different phases, steps, and timetable for this discussion process can be found in the final version of the Strategic Evaluation Methodology for Defining National Research and Innovation Priorities.

This session also saw the presentation of thewebsitethat will serve as a space for open dialogue with the entire scientific community on National Research and Innovation Priorities. 

By participating in this initiative, which brought together representatives from universities, polytechnic institutes, research centers, companies, and other entities from the scientific and technological ecosystem in an open and participatory dialogue, CoLABOR reinforces its commitment to the collaborative development of priorities that enhance the economic and social impact of the country's scientific and technological system.
